I'm sorry but I am pursuing other employers...

It seems like all this job market has to offer is rejection! I haven't turned in that many applications (probably around five) but I feel like I have turned them in to a multitude of different employers of all different shapes and sizes and none of them want me!!! It is so dis-heartening! I hate hate hate that e-mail that says "thank you for your interest but we are pursuing other candidates." I do not believe they are thankful for my interest! Now, I know they have to write something to delicately tell the hundreds of people who have applied for that single job, that they didn't get it (most likely because as I've been reminded multiple times, its not what you know but who you know) but I feel like that "thank you" is almost patronizing. Would it be so awful to be honest and realistic and say, "hey, we know this sucks and we are sorry, but you weren't selected for this position"?

Wow, that was a LOT of ranting! I apologize for that little tangent haha!

But I am still pressing onward! I have now decided to look into going back to school! So exciting! Except I don't know what to go for. I am thinking something in the medical field like nursing or an ultrasound tech. I think both could be very interesting, and I think I would love either. Im going to look into both more tho. I will keep you informed, and by "you" I mean myself and the vast electronic void that these blogs go into :)

Welcome to my life! I hope to keep up with this blog long enough to turn it into a successful mini-series on HBO! Kidding kidding....but I do hope that I keep it up. I have a tendency to get really excited about things at the beginning and then they tend to trail off.....

So, what is this blog going to be about? Well hopefully you can guess by the title of it, but if you need more assistance I will enlighten you. I'm a newlywed so you know there are going to be lots of stories about that little adventure :) Also I am a vegetarian but Eric is not, and I suck at cooking and have no patience for it, so the odds are stacked against me that I will ever be able to feel comfortable in the kitchen! However, that doesn't stop me from watching everything on the Food Network religiously. I love me some Alton Brown on Good Eats, Iron Chef and 30 Minute Meals (that would take me about 3 hours to do what Rachel does haha) just to name a few. And to round it all out I'll be just telling stories about life in general. I hope that they can entertain you for a few minutes as you read them, and I hope they make you come back and read more! I can't wait to get started!!


Unfortunately though, I have to head off to work. I am going to be late....as usual :)
